PARANOID SAGE

The paranoid sage cries all night long
Praying that things had not gone wrong
But no one ever turns back the time for him
Swaying on the brim

The paranoid sage weeps through the day
Wishing the Lord would come his way
But Sage has never turned back the page for Him
Riding on the rim

And Baby, I say, “Maybe”
The snow will never fall
Tell you that I’m frighten, girl
You may and may not call

And Baby, I say, “Maybe”
There is no rain in sight
Tell you that I’m frighten, girl
I may or may not write

The paranoid sage hides in the hills
Hoping someday to pay his bills
But Sage has never turned back a dime to them
Hanging on a limb

And Baby, say, “Maybe”
I’ll come back to you
And tell you everything I’ve done
‘Though you know it isn’t true

I’m the paranoid sage; I’m living in the hills
In a paranoid age, I’m living there still
He the paranoid sage; he’s living in the hills
In a paranoid age, he’s living there still

Saved!
