I wanted a loose nod to “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues”, so I started it in the rain and ended it with returning to someplace I used to live. But then because of Bud Cort I thought the singer should inexplicably die at the end of each verse. This…

This is sort of a musical postcard for the Pacific NW. It’s among the goofier things I’ve made, and was pretty quick and dirty.

There is a built-in psychedelia when an inexpensive and out of tune ukulele is multitracked. This little ramble is built around tuning a five string banjo.
Recorded straight to tape on a Tascam multistudo in 2012.

Track four from my 2012 RPM offering. It’s all acoustic instruments with no effects; the fake fuzz bass is a Pepe classical guitar played really close to the mic.
Worth mentioning I guess that this was written and recorded some years before…

The third track from my 2012 RPM recordings. I wanted to have a recurring theme just like the Willie Nelson record at which I was nodding.

Too do:
Add acoustic guitar
Add Female Harmony

Track 1 from my 2012 RPM offering. A gaggle of ukuleles toss around the recurring theme of the recordings.

Track 2 from my 2012 RPM offering. Recorded inside of a VW bus in a garage in a duplex; the best soundproofing on offer.

April's RPM. I got annoyed paying too much to ticketmaster so wrote a rude song about an awful company.

You had me at, "Of All the gin joints in all the towns in all the world..." Kind of a tribute to the movies.
The ending evokes in me the wrenching from dreamcraft to lifecast when the final credits roll.

You brought two of my favorite humans together for the first time -- Bud Cort and Bob Dylan. If you only had Ruth Gordon going full Yoko....
I’ve been making lo-fi home recordings since 1996, mostly on my Tascam Porta03 Ministudio, which is a four-track cassette recorder. I write songs and play banjo, guitar, ukulele, and sometimes accordion. For reasons unbeknownst to me I’ve chosen to release some of these recordings in a very limited manner under fake band names; Curb Your Dog, The Annenberg Fund, Ersatz, etc. I’m going to attempt to group them all together here, under the banner of my actual name.
