Some of the Collective got together at the studio on the last Saturday in April (the first chance we’d had that month!) to record some stuff. After putting down some tracks with the group for another song, Dan and I (Kevin) jammed to a click track for a few minutes to generate these guitar and bass tracks. In this configuration, my minimal bass took the place of Dan’s usual droned E or A string, and the click track helped enforce some tempo discipline.

Listening back, the feel and sound reminded Kevin of one of his very favorite songs in the world, so he added some MIDI instruments as a little homage. This one will hopefully get some more work and a fuller version later. (There’s about 2.5 more minutes of guitar and bass, with plenty of room to bring other instruments in and out.)
