This is the first piece made with a Reaktor instrument I built today that I have called “Xylo”.

Xylo is a sampler that plays a region of the sample back and forth with a 10s release time. Each note defines a region of a different length (but with the same starting point). Playing several notes stacks up a series of decaying loops with different pitches.

The sample used is a single note from the Tonehammer Emotional Piano 2 instrument. I forget which note exactly :)

The whole thing was inspired by watching a video by Clark Nova and the bug in Kontakt that made it impossible for me to replicate what he was doing without massive CPU spikes!

Also on this track are PanStation, DubStation, Micro Warmer, Valhalla Shimmer, and Vintage Warmer 2.

Always a wonderful lesson in sound. Dramatic intro. It has that murder mystery feel to it. It was Mr. Bags in the Kitchen, with a knife.
