I picked this piece as a bonus track because Chrono Trigger is my absolute favourite game in the whole world and this may be my favourite tune from that game. The best part is after you’ve been hearing militaristic end-of-the-world stuff, arpeggio’d robotic versions of Lavos’s theme, and fighting trumpet fanfares the whole time, the Chrono Trigger main theme comes out very briefly only to get stomped on. Holy heavens this song rocks so hard.
