Who Knew?

Here is my contribution to the latest song writing challenge posted in the Alonetone Forum.

Who Knew when I first met you
That all your troubles would be mine
And you’d be coming around again
To hurt me one more time

It’s been a lot of blustery weather
Almost like being tossed by the sea
And I see that storm cloud building
And it looks like it’s heading for me

Who knew that I would love you
After what you did to me
Who knew you’d hurt me again & again
For what seems like an eternity

I got only one oar in the water
But I’m rowing just as fast as I can
I’m just moving round in circles
I see you coming round again

I have only one thing to ask you
Honey would you’d be so kind
Please wont you let me down easy
When you decide to leave me next time

This is awesome!!!!! I makes me think of a tenor Johnny Cash! I love it. Great vocals and wonderful melody!!! Great submission to the Who Knew challenge

The song verse is very poetic and lovely. I personally would love to hear it sung as quiet so without the background singing. Also would like to hear it without the twang.
