[Chorus]
Alex D is never scared
After all I made “Nigger” and “Wreck-on-in”
What they would think of my records I don’t give a shit
‘cause only I know what fits
It always fits in

[Verse 1]
Rappers not themselves
I’m me when I hit ‘em, with these quotes quotidian
It’s ridiculous
You live in a quixotic fantasy
And you haven’t had to be yourself
Haven’t had the pleasure, ‘cause you haven’t ever did it
Life—you haven’t ever lived it
You don’t respect lofi
I don’t respect your flow or sound
‘cause you don’t get down and dirty like a sow
Your music is background music
I can’t hear you
I tuned out because you have not moved me
You sound like everyone else
You like likes more than life
You want monetary support, to feel good in the moment, in the short term
I don’t like money the concept
I rap ‘cause I got love, not for the money but I got some
You rap for the money ‘cause you got none
You ain’t got love
You ain’t out of it because you never got some or found some
I’m not from Italy, I’m from The Philippines, I mean my daddy is
The dark man got the white girl, not white man get the dark girl
Little unusual aren’t them?
I slice bread, I don’t slice carcass
It’s kinda hard to write when you haven’t been struck by a lightening bolt
So I turn mine on like a light bulb
It only takes one, me, to turn that thing on
I didn’t have a working mom, or hardly
But she worked really hard around me, all us three
She didn’t avoid us
Everything she did, it was for us
I don’t chase women, and even if there were some, rap would still be all I work on
It’s what here I was put for, it’s my purpose

[Chorus]
Alex D is never scared
After all I made “Nigger” and “Wreck-on-in”
What they would think of my records I don’t give a shit
‘cause only I know what fits
It always fits in

[Verse 2]
I can’t leave rap alone, the game needs me
My love for rap is so needy
It’s not a game, it’s real to me
It’s my job, it’s not a play thing
It’s my job to make you pay, to get your just deserts
But you just get dessert
You can’t have your rice pudding until you’ve had your beans
I don’t want you to pay me for my music
I take what you’ve taken from me, it’s retribution
If you’re not satisfied with your stuff by itself
Then that is not art, it’s something else
If you need someone to tell you it’s good, it’s probably not
But if you’re happy with it all by yourself and by itself, it’s probably art
I used to buy rap based on probable cause it’s significant
Now I only do it when I want and it sounds hard and it’s promising, see there’s a difference
A lot of rappers quit rap
A lot of golden age cats did that, ever notice that?
If they say it’s rap, it ain’t rap
And if it is, it’s straight wack
But if you’ve studied rap and have rapped, and that’s not something that’s done fast
Then you alone can tell yourself what is and what’s not phat
It takes years to study like a college degree
Question any and all who tell you what hip-hop to stream
The system only wants some money
And they’re willing to kill to get lots of money
They’ve done it countless times to hundreds of hungry emcees
So do this gift by yourself
And don’t try to get someone else’s help, that doesn’t end well

[Chorus]
Alex D is never scared
After all I made “Nigger” and “Wreck-on-in”
What they would think of my records I don’t give a shit
‘cause only I know what fits
It always fits in

Saved!
